A recent article by CIO magazine showed that social media continues to become a staple of the recruitment process. In fact, according to a survey by Jobvite, a recruiting software, social media is considered by most companies to be a viable channel to find high-quality applicants and that they plan to increase their social media recruitment activity. According to the survey, almost three out of four companies use social networks or other social media sites to further their recruitment efforts.

According to a poll of job seekers on SimplyHired.com, 77% had an account on Facebook, 56% had an account on LinkedIn, while 27% had a Twitter account. Another Simply Hired poll found that 65% of job seekers are already using social networks in their job search. By tapping into social networks like these, your company can increase your brand awareness and source great talent – even reaching passive job seekers that aren’t typically found on job search sites.
